This Thursday the South Royalton School will feature an all-local lunch option made with donated produce from area farmers. The meal will include Turkey Pot Pie, Winter Squash Soup, Mixed Winter Greens, Pumpkin Bars, and Cider.
The kids are getting excited about moving forward with the Royalton Roots mission, and we are looking forward to the community meal which will take place in March.
A meeting for people interested in growing produce for the Royalton Roots campaign will be held Tuesday, December 8 at 4pm at the South Royalton Market cafe.
If you want to grow 50 pounds or 5 pounds, you are invited to attend this information session regarding specific crops and time frames.
